Here you'll find a collection of images taken mainly in and around the Scottish Hebrides from the small cruise ship Chalice and widlife tour boat Highland Tiger. The idea behind the images is to let the viewer see exactly 'what's out there' and that you don't necessarily have to travel thousands of miles to be able to appreciate the natural world around you.  All you have to do is open your eyes and have a little patience.

None of the wildlife pictures are of captive animals or birds, they are all encounters where the photographer has been in the right place at the right moment. None of the sunsets have had the colours enhanced and yes, the sea really can be that blue.

We aren't trying to make any sweeping statements about nature or your carbon footprint, nor are we looking to enlist eco-warriors. But we would like you to think about and appreciate our natural environment, as it is quite fragile and constantly under threat by man's 'progress'.
